March 2016

The Here are some of the fun things that happened this month!

My sisters and I, along with dave and Waylon, took the cousins to Grand Slam for some fun! For them and for us!
We did some bumper cars, and the kiddos climbed around in the play area. Henry got a bit freaked out from the air compressed machine that would launch foam balls into the air whenever someone pushed the button... so it was a short lived trip due to some over stimulation.

We headed to TGI Fridays for lunch, where Henry had an allergic reaction to their french fries (garlic was in the seasoning). Ran to the near by Walgreens to get Children's Benedryl which helped. (We never leave the house without it now)

The boys are loving their ECFE class we attend every Wednesday morning. We are in the multiples class again, so all the kids are twins, and we are the only set of triplets. We absolutely love the teachers! Half of the class is spent together, while the second half is spent with the moms in another room talking about parenting topics while the kids have structured play! This has been amazing for the boys to socialize and work on getting ready for preschool this fall!

Graham made the local paper, when they did a story on how the community was celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. Our nanny Sarah brought them to a story time, where a reporter was there. He took their pictures and asked for permission, and a co-worker of my sister pointed it out a few weeks later! YAY Graham!

My sisters and I had a great time attending our cousin Suzanne's wedding at the Ice House!  I always cherish our time together with family, but when we can get together just us sisters, it seems even more special!

Since I have Fridays off, I always try to find fun stuff for us to do! We went to Chucky Cheese for the first time with my friend Nikki and her Triplet boys, plus one older boy during their spring break. The boys had a lot of fun going on the little rides, and watching the bigger boys play their games and earn tickets!

One morning before work, as I was getting ready to leave, I was making my rounds in kisses and hugs. When I got to Nolan he said, "can I nuggle with you first?" How could I turn that down? So I sat on the couch, and it wasnt long before the other two climbed up to nuggle too....My dad snapped a few pictures while saying, "this is what parenting is all about". He was so right, I am so glad he did this, because it isnt often these moments can be captured!

My sisters and I got together again for another playdate at an indoor tumble place near our house. We had a great time!

Easter happened in March....here is one picture from that, but I will post separately about it.

We are going to be starting potty training, like for real, next month... so stay tuned for that adventure!

and a few more cute pictures just because!

February 2016

I'm Another month down.. and I feel like our life is flying- with so much growth from the boys  and keeping them busy with constant fun activities!
Haircuts with our friend Sam! No tears shed! Yes!!!

The month kicked off strong with Henry falling and hitting his mouth on the arm of a chair... which resulted in shifting his front tooth up and back.

We headed to the dentist (his first dentist experience) for an X-ray and check up to see what the damage was. Thank goodness no real harm was done... the tooth sits back a little more than the other, but no discoloring, or damage to the grownup tooth.

Although Henry never really likes doctors, they do an AMAZING job meeting the needs of kiddos. I LOVED the office, the staff, and their methods. Next step is getting them all in for their first "official" dentist visit.

I got to head to Anaheim, California for a work conference- i know, rough.
The weather was beautiful, the networking with friends and old colleagues was fun, and the workshops I attended were so helpful and informative.

Since Disneyland was a few miles from our hotel, I did some shopping for the boys and brought them home some "presents"- which I shouldn't have mentioned, because that is all they talked about when I would Facetime home to check in.

Valentine's day week we went to a new music class with our triplet girlfriends. It was Love themed... and the kiddos had a blast! Arranged marriages here we come!

For work I had a confirmation retreat down at Gustavus Adolphus College... and as a proud Gustie Alum, needless to say I had a great time!

Even got the boys their first Gustie shirts! The first of many I am sure!

We celebrated valentines day as a family... with heart shaped pizza and heart sugar cookies- and even delivered candy Valentines to Uncle Donny and Auntie Connie, as well as Nana Lynda and Papa Dave. Nothing like celebrating the day with those you love!

We discovered an amazing hidden gem in our area... Airborn Extreme gymnastics in Coon Rapids. They have preschool open gym every Friday from 10-noon... this place is tailored for littles.... trampolines, tumble space, low balance beams... and upstairs is a play area, and eating area where you can bring in your own snacks.

We have gone every Friday since we discovered it. it is only 10.00 per family.
My Moms of multiples club is renting it out actually for our spring party...
Nothing like a place you can bring your 3 toddlers and feel confident they are safe and having fun!

The boys are loving their ECFE class every Wednesday morning. We are in a Twins and Triplets class, and we absolutely love the classroom, the teachers, and other kids in the group.
I think this class is so beneficial as it will get them ready for preschool this fall!

That is the one big thing we are working on now... where to send them to preschool.
It has been a long road of preschool fairs, weighing the pros and cons, location, cost, class times... man oh man!

We have narrowed it down to 2 places...
Zion Lutheran Church preschool
or
Anoka readiness preschool - the same location as their ECFE class.

Although Anoka gives us a better rate with multiples and focuses highly on academics, Zion offers the faith piece(which is important to me) and has an incredible staff,

We are familiar with both locations since I used to work at Zion as one of their pastors.
We hope to make a decision soon.
Next on the docket for us.... potty training...

A few more pics....
Snuggle time!

Breakfast time!

Bottoms up!

January 2016

This January has been a month filled with family and friends. We have been out and about seeing people, and playing hard! You can only watch so many episodes of Paw Patrol before you start to go a little stir crazy!

Dave and I got to start the new year together in Colorado. I was asked to officiate a college friend's wedding, so off to Fort Collins we went... sans kids! We are so grateful for Dave's parents for not only moving into our house to watch the boys while we were gone, but also provided transportation to and from the airport! Man are we lucky!

    Dear friends

Delicious bloodys at Snooze, a great breakfast place in Fort Collins

The first couple days of our trip were pretty centered around wedding festivities... it was fun for all of us girls and our hubbys to be together for new years, but sadly we realized we were not in college anymore... we didn't even make it to midnight. Oh well.

The wedding was beautiful, with close family and friends. It is always such a privilege to officiate at dear friend's weddings.

We spent our last day enjoying breweries and downtown Fort Collins before heading home to our three little monkeys. Work takes me on a lot of different trips, but it was so great to take a trip with the hubby! It was long over due!

With Dave having some more vacation time we went a couple fun places as a family!
Good times park in Eagan... such a fun place! Lots to do, and a great way to run the kids out of energy!

We also went to open toddler time at Gleason's gym.... a gymnastics area with a foam pit, trampolines, bouncy floor, and lots to climb on! We will be going back here again soon I think!

We spent some time with good friends too this month! Reconnecting with those we haven't seen in a while, and wow it was nice!

How we miss the Kerns! Our kids play so well together! So do the adults!

The boys got to meet Baby Bodhi.... our great friends Dustin and Elizabeth's new baby! They LOVED having a baby around... it was so sweet to see them give kisses, and want to hold him....
I know I know.... but no thoughts of more Dvorak babies.... at least not yet!

The Edlunds are a family we try to see often but not often enough. They have triplet girls, so it has been fun raising our kiddos side by side.
Not only did the kids have a play date (we could run our own preschool)
But the parents got to go out (SANS KIDS) for the first time since they have been born!!! It only took 2.5 years. It was a great night of food and libations... and of course conversation sharing in the similarities of raising triplets, but the differences of raising girls vs. boys. FASCINATING!

We gathered with my side of the family to celebrate my sister Steph's birthday! Always chaotic but fun when we ALL get together.

Any finally, the end of January we celebrate our wedding Anniversary. We celebrated 6 years this year. We spent the day with the boys- climbing giant mounds of snow (snow mountains) at the St. Paul Winter snow sculptures, lunch at Snuffys, a target run, then home for some rest.

Dave and I got to go out to Manny's steak house for dinner that night! Delicious... We felt a little weird not being at 112 Eatery (our anniversary hotspot), but Manny's was amazing!
